Managing Change Together!
FAMILY MEANS THE MOST TO JOHN
John P. Fahey and his wife Janet have been married for 29 years and have two adult sons, John J. and Jerid. John graduated from Central High School, is a small business owner and has been in the banking industry for 19 years and is currently a Sr. Vice President Commercial Lender.
JOHN’S EXPERIENCE IN CARVER COUNTY MATTERS
As the current Vice Chair of the Carver County Board of Commissioners, former Chair of the Carver County Planning, John serves on multiple committees for the County. He is a member of the Association of MN Counties (“AMC”) Public Safety Policy committee, a AMC voting delegate, an alternate to the AMC Board of Directors, the Board liaison to the Carver County CDA and Planning Commission, serves on various Joint Ditch boards, a member of the Legislative Committee, the Metropolitan Emergency Services Board, the Fair Board, the Historical Society Committee, the Courts Committee, the MN Valley Regional Rail Authority, the State Community Health Services Advisory Committee and the Water Management Organization Committee.
John states, “Having the opportunity to serve the County as a Commissioner has been rewarding and very challenging. As a first term Commissioner we are basically drinking from the fire hose, as we continue to learn and understand the various components of County Government. My past experience as the former Mayor of Norwood Young America, a District 108 School Board member, Chairperson of the CC Planning Commission while also serving on the County’s Board of Adjustments and Park Board, and a 29 year member of the NYA Lions, has helped tremendously to hit the ground running!
With the expansion of Highway 212 and the ever-present challenges and pressures facing a rapidly growing county, continued leadership is critical. I was humbled to be elected and challenged to run a successful campaign during the pandemic and would appreciate your support this fall!”
-John (JP) Fahey

-John (JP) Fahey
